Our next stop was at San Luis Creek
campground, a part off the San Luis
Reservoir State Recreation Area
The body of water in the picture at right is not the reservoir but instead something called the forebay which
is located below the dam. The water here can be put into the canals or pumped up to the reservoir. The
source of the water can be the canals or coming down from the reservoir through the generators.
Our next stop, Jalama

great place to camp on
the beach and to enjoy
lunch
We arrived just as the sun was setting
The planned next stop was Pt Mugu SP. However, a big storm messed up the park and highway 1 so our stay there
was canceled and we did two days at Pt Mugu Naval Air Station instead. Took advantage of the free laundromat
and had dinner with Bill and Pat Thomas
