Camping 2019
The return trip from southern California went much quicker than the outward bound
leg which seems to be a recurring theme in our travels
The first stop was at El Capitan State Beach
With Highway 1 reopened we left 101 at San Luis Obispo to head
up one of the more famous drives in the west, highway 1 from
Morro Bay to Monterey. Just north of Morro Bay is one of the
few State Beaches in southern California that allows dogs on
the beach so we stopped to let Musby run and play
On Highway 1 we stopped at Kirk Creek
campground, National Forest Campground
that somehow fits between the highway
and the ocean. The day was calm enough
to put the drone up for a couple of minutes
and the lower two pictures are from that
flight.
One of the great views along Highway 1. There are many great
views on this road, but not many places to stop and take pictures
of them.
Last picture from this trip. After leaving Highway 1 we crossed
over the mountains to the great valley and spent the night at Rio
Vista County Park on the Delta. Sunrise over the Delta.
From here we drove up I-5 spent one night in a Oregon State Park
along the road and then on home
